3 Days, 3 Quotes (#2)

Sora from the anime “No Game, No Life,” courtesy of no-game-nolife.wikia.com

Thank you, Megan of Invisible World, for nominating me for this challenge.  In honor of my study abroad in Japan, I shall post quotes relating to Japanese culture in some ways, via authors, art, etc.

Here’s the second one.

In every time, in every world, the strong polish their fangs while the weak polish their wisdom.

This is said by Sora, one of the main protagonists in the anime “No Game, No Life.”  He’s a shut-in obsessed with games, much like his step sister.  But he’s also very smart and extroverted, knowing how to deal with people well.

While I thought the anime was mostly for comedy and entertainment, it had very witty and, surprisingly, profound dialogue at times, like this quote.

I’ve always held the polishing of wisdom in high esteem.  I’m not quite an athlete, so books give me another strength, as does writing.

And it’s good to know that it pays off.

I also nominate:

Petiteti Beauty

Ms. Elana Lev On Travelling (I hope I got this right)

A Writer’s Life for Me

Here are the rules.

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Post a quote for three consecutive days (one quote per day).
  3. Nominate three bloggers each day
